Public transport (including 2 bus stops within 500 metres) will take you to Rotterdam or other locations in no time. Connections to the A4, A20 and A15 motorways are all excellent. In front of the house, there is a pavement railing with bluestone posts. The (frame) façade is entirely clad in sandstone, and has corner window piers and a cornice with modillions. The middle window on the 1st floor is also surmounted by an entablature on sculpted corbels. Through an authentic carved door and imposing entrance, you enter the property in a central avant-corps with embossed surround, above which are a skylight and entablature with lavishly sculpted corbels.

Upon entering, you are standing in the impressively long hall. There is a beautiful view of the garden and the incidence of light on the other side of the house. The high ceilings with magnificent stucco, as well as marble panelling and floor, are striking. From the hall, you have access to the en-suite room, laundry room and passage to the conservatory and annex. The study is next to the front door on the street side.
An imposing staircase with splendid wood carved balustrade leads to the first floor via the elevated walkway, with light coming through a stained-glass window.

BEAUTIFUL, ORIGINAL DETAILS ARE VISIBLE EVERYWHERE.

The rich detailing and high ceilings (4 metres) provide the front room of the en-suite room with a genuine wow factor. The splendid ornamental stucco ceiling and the beautiful marble fireplace immediately catch the eye. There is an oak herringbone parquet floor. The windows at the front are fitted with HR glazing.

The front room merges into the back room. The rooms are separated from each other by a richly detailed partition with round-shaped French doors. In the back room, the original panelling and rosette ceiling have also been preserved. From this room, you can reach the conservatory through sliding doors.

The conservatory is wonderfully bright, and has a beautiful granite floor. Inside and outside seamlessly blend together here thanks to the large window section with 2x French doors.

The washing machine and dryer connections, as well as the central heating boilers with water heater are located in the lower located laundry room.

The spacious kitchen-diner is situated in the annex. The 2 French doors, surmounted by beautiful stained-glass windows , lead you to the spacious back garden. The kitchen is wonderfully bright and has an L-shaped kitchen unit with a Smeg cooker with 6 burners and an extra wide oven. The wooden floor (with underfloor heating) exudes atmosphere. The room also has a high ceiling. The kitchen adjoins a multifunctional room and the passage to the conservatory and the hall.

You can reach this multi-functional room in the annex through the kitchen or from the side entrance, which is accessible from the lane adjoining the property. This room was originally built in the early 1900s, and is now used as a yoga studio. The room comprises an entrance with granite floor and beautiful mouldings. From here you go to a washroom with foot spa, separate toilet with hand basin and yoga room with beautiful stained-glass windows dating from when the Jesuit order owned the property. The yoga room is equipped with underfloor heating.

A SUPERBLY-SIZED HOUSE.

The stairs lead to the 1st floor of the main house. The elevated walkway gives access to a so-called intermediate room. If you continue up the stairs, you will reach the hallway. From here, you can access the master bedroom, 3 (bed) rooms, bathroom and balcony at the rear of the property from where you have a panoramic view of the surrounding area.

The master bedroom is wonderfully spacious. There is plenty of room for a large wardrobe. The curves in the ceiling, which were made when the Freemasons of the Rising Sun owned the property, are striking. You can reach the en-suite bathroom from this master bedroom.

The bathroom is accessible both from the hallway and the master bedroom. It is equipped with a walk-in shower, washbasin and toilet (Sanibroyeur).

A fixed staircase leads to the landing on the 2nd floor. Here you will find 3 (bed)rooms, each with its own washbasin, modern bathroom with bathtub and toilet, and kitchen-diner.

The kitchen-diner has its own (electric) cooking facilities and plenty of space for a cosy dining table.

The L-shaped garden is large and well maintained, and has its own jetty on the water! A dream come true for boat lovers. The garden is wonderfully long and secluded. This will allow you to enjoy the sun all day long. At the back of the garden, there is a terrace by the water on one side and a plastic shed on the other.
