This property is a beautiful national listed monument of 314 m², designed in 1720 by architect Anthony Turck and incorporating the canal house structure of a ‘front house connected to a ‘back house’ with a main entrance and a staff entrance. The sandstone facade is distinctive of the period with a beautiful ‘neck’ gabel and wing pieces including 4 authentic consoles. The elegant building has a carved baroque window frame incorporating a bronze bust. The house, bearing the name: “de Kleine Prins” (trans. “The Little Prince”) is located on one of the most beautiful parts of the Keizersgracht, in the Felix Meritis neighborhood. It is just around the corner and a short walking distance from the cultural center; the Rijksmuseum/National Museum, the Royal Concert Building, The National Opera and Ballet and the Royal Palace and The Anne Frank House. It is adjacent to “The Nine Streets” – Amsterdam’s ‘hippest’ boutique shopping and café district.

Due to the high windows and the location on the sunny, south side of the canal, the rooms are bathed in sunlight. In 2000 the building was structurally renovated: the foundation, the roof and all technical installations were completely renewed.
